The PCML is both a user-accessible and fee-for service laboratory that is well equipped to provide training and research support in the following areas:
- Plant mitotic and meiotic cytogenetic preparations
- Karyotyping
- Fluorescent In-Situ Hybridization (FISH)
- Genomic In-Situ Hybridization (GISH)
- Oligonucleotide-based FISH (Oligo-FISH)
- Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM)
Investigators and students wanting to explore new techniques and/or obtain preliminary data for external funded proposals are encouraged to contact the PCML. Consultations about potential research are provided at no-cost.
Non-system members are also welcome to access the services of the PCML.
The PCML Provides Four Types of Services
ACCESS:
The PCML provides researchers with access to a well-equipped lab.
TRAINING:
The PCML provides individualized hands-on-training as well as occasional workshops.
SERVICES:
The PCML provides exploratory and fee-for-services like other Texas A&M AgriLife Research and TAMU core labs.
CONSULTING:
The PCML provides consultation for research projects and grant proposals.
